Junior Historian Program

The Junior Historians program is entering its sixth year of teaching area students about local,

state and national history with emphasis on the 1800s. Children learn about daily pioneer life,

Civil War, Underground Railroad and notable, local citizens, among other topics of the time

period. School lessons, crafts, food, music, games and literature are integrated into the

weeklong program taught by volunteer, retired teachers. Come see how our program for 3rd

through 6th grade students has grown through the support of individuals as well as the Rock

Falls and Sterling Optimists Clubs.

Everyone is invited to attend and light refreshments will be served!

The program is free, donations are accepted.
